Arrow "The Fosters" High Green Sheffield:

Sheffield has an interesting history of high rise living which stretches back quite a long way. At high Green there is a little known, early 1960s tower block called "The Fosters" and It is a right ugly monster. Was it still standing? Seems from a image as part of the Sheffield Photographers at The Winter Gardens, so on a rain sodden day we had a bus ride out.. No images, so another buss ride on a sunny day.

High Green is the most northerly suburb of Sheffield and is where local Band "Arctic Monkeys" are from. The Fosters contains 34 apartments, each with 2 bedrooms. there are 10 floors in total, with a caretaker's flat and retail units on the ground floor.
