Wheal Betsy (Silver-Lead Mine) near Tavistock, Devon - August 2010

Passed here last week taking the long way back from visiting Winkleigh ROC Post.
Its on the Tavistock-Okehampton road in Dartmoor and sits imposingly in the valley, well worth a look. You can even get into the chimney and while pushing against the sides you can climb it inside...I'll admit though, I got half way up and bottled it, not feeling confident about the 200 year old stonework!













...just thought it was worth sharing for anyone who's never passed that way, cheers
