Thursford Castle was a Local Name in West Norfolk given to the Walsingham Union Workhouse that was built around 1803 as far as I and M02W can ascertain. The whole of the workhouse has been completely flattened in the late 70s leaving a few scattered ruinous remains dotted through a large Copse of Broadleaved and Pine trees. A boiling Hot Sunday afternoon and the Flying Frog was once again heading out across the Norfolk Flatlands, The Main Objective was the Workhouse Chapel, heres what we found.....
