Arrow Hafodunos Hall - LLangenyw - April 09

This is what remains of Hafodunos Hall, a Grade I Listed, 19th Century Venetian-inspired Gothic Style Country House set within a 40 acre estate in North Wales.

The Hall was damaged by fire in October 2004 and has remained untouched since this time. The majority of the outer walling remains along with the clock tower however the roof, floors and all internal fittings were lost. The attached servants/accommodation block remains largely intact albeit in a poor condition. Getting into this place was much harder than I thought.

The theatre, lodge and most outbuildings were sealed very tightly. As you climb through the rubble, it's hard to think this only burned down in 2004.

    Enjoy

What you see after climbing endless Heras fencing.

    Approching through the trees

The outside and the wonderful clock tower, there is NO access to the tower.

    Some nice details

    The lovely greenhouses

    Some from inside the hall

    Lift thing still there.

Squashed car and a massive diesel generator

    Lodge at the entrance gates.

    Thanks for looking

Was here a few weeks back and builders were on site. Somebody has some money as the place is now being turned into a private family home.

The clock tower is really something though.

Yes mate. The gaffer sure didn't want us around, and the female resident in the cottages overlooking the site was a nasty piece of work too.

Ianzzr11 went up in April and got some shots of the building work. He says "A dentist from Altrincham has bought for 400K and plans to restore the hall at a cost of 5 million"
