The basics: My Aunt (now an ex-ex-pat) moved from Germany to Edinburgh last year. I was eventually tasked with collecting her stuff and repatriating it. Transit Van - Luton (my home) - Rastatt, Germany - Luton - Edinburgh - Luton...
Whilst driving through rural Belgium in an attempt to avoid an unexplainable (and very long) traffic jam on the motorway, I noticed this place from the road. I was due a bit of a break from driving and decided to have a snoop around. If I'm honest, it doesn't really deserve a report but I'm popping it up anyway just to add it as a small pinpoint on the Urbex map. Not really worth a visit unless you're randomly in a very specific area and really stumped for things to do!
Bottom funnel bits (I await the correct terminology from somebody!)
Plastic flowers on a shrink-wrapped pile of concrete and slabs...I didn't look inside!
The quarry...
Overlooked by this interesting looking tower, which due to time constraints I didn't have time to investigate
Outbuildings
Going for the subtle approach - a British-registered plain white Transit van parked at the side of the road in rural Belgium
Happy I'd seen all there was to see there, I headed on my way towards Germany...next up was somewhere a bit prettier!
PART TWO: Château de Noisy
