    Arrow East-Demi Bastion. Dover. 2009

East-Demi Bastion was built in the 18th century to give the Eastern flank of Dover Castle more protection. It's connected to the castle by a passage that leads under the east ditch. It is closed to the public.
    1. Guard room.

Default Re: East-Demi Bastion. Dover. 2009

Yet another recent re-visit. This is through the tunnel in pic 12, near the gun battery, which after a dog-leg leads out into the East Ditch of Dover Castle.

The passage on the right leads out to the gun battery, the left one opens into the Castle ditch. there are two doors visible in the left passage,

Inside the first door. The firing loops point to the gated entrance.

Same room but at the back is this mount for a Quick-Firing gun. The doorway you can see on the other side of the passage leads to the guardroom, where this whole thread starts.

This is the room which is through the second door in the left-hand passage.

    And out into the East-Ditch.

I think that's the whole of East-Demi Bastion covered. Thanks for looking.
