Quite surprised by this one, got the 'gen' from a friend and went up to have a mooch, turned out to be totally worthwhile. Think it's been abandoned since around 2004 as that's the latest the newspapers and magazines seem to go up to. Being on the coast we are subject to brutal winds and heavy rain here so when left uncared for, buildings can deteriorate quickly. Six years sounds about right for the state this gaff is in.

Difficulty: Moderate. Access is a piece of piss but beware of weak floor or rubble. Hard hats wouldn't go amiss.
Time needed: 2 hours max
Return visit: Not essential

Gear: Canon EOS 450D & 18-55 kit lens.

Because I'm still on the kit lens, some of the pics have needed sharpened and had a little bit of post process magic applied. Enjoy - hope you like the pics. I don't have a tripod yet so these are all handheld.

Approach. Still in two minds about the place, seeing this I instantly knew we were onto a winner. On we went to 'splore.

In a healthier part of the building that wasn't falling to bits, you could clearly see people would camp in here...
