The last night...after travelling on the tube all weekend, I decided that I just HAD to have a snoop

Berlin U-Bahn 8 - Rosenthalerplatz - Weinmeisterstraße

I walked down into the deserted station, looked around before climbing past the barrier and into the tunnel. Checking the sign, I had 19 minutes before the first train came...

I cautiously walked down to Weinmeisterstraße station, trying to be as quiet as possible...I could see people on the platform, so decided it'd be a bad idea to proceed any further - I walked halfway back up the tunnel to an emergency exit shaft which I decided I'd eventually use to get out again.

I got out of the way and looked at my watch - the first train was due. On cue...

A few more shots, and the next one came...

Ok, that'd do! I climbed the emergency exit staircase, and attempted to open the grate. It wouldn't open!

After struggling for a while, I decided that I'd need to come back out the way I came! I packed up my camera gear, waited for the next train to pass before following it quickly down the line. I got to a back corridor of Rosenthalerplatz station, and prepared to go back into the real world - after the next train had passed, I waited for the commuters to clear the platform before jumping the barrier back onto the platform, smiling to a worried looking woman standing on the platform before walking quickly up the stairs and off into the night.
