Beautiful spot. Theres not much of the building left, but it's a lovely place to walk around, right next to the river Darwen.
It was abandoned because of pollution from the river and has been left to decay. 90% is gone. I woulda loved to visit it in like the 80's or something. But I would need a time machine for that. Anyone got one I can borrow?
I wouldn't recommend night time visits.
This is the part you'll see from the road
And after a little walk you come to Feniscowles Hall
Whilst walking round, you get
a sense of just how
empty this place is.
BUT
And it's a glorious but.
If you walk around the inside the main walls
you may see
something like this:
This is one of several entrances to what would have been the basement. Only went in this one as the rest are too blocked up.
Apologies for the scarcity and lack of quality, but I had to take the photo's down here, and I'm a musician, not a photographer. I took a few shots of the hooks but none came out. So you'll just have to go see for yourself
Its proper horror down here.
My feverish imagination turned this into an Altar of some sort. Well Blair Witch.
And this into a pile of Tarantula leg's.
Walking around, there are plenty of these little alcoves which, unfortunately, lead nowhere. Would like blueprints and a shovel.
I was shocked to not see one bottle of Three Hammers.Bloody kids.
And to finish, another shot of the much-rumoured eLwin. This is one of my favourite trees ever.
