Here are two locations I sniffed out during my brief stay in Penang a week ago,
they didn't amount to much exploring, so I will chuck them both into one thread.
A nice Straits mansion dating from the 20's or 30's, which would have been built for a
wealthy Chinese family. This type of prewar mansion is a bit of a standard design, with many
other residences taking on the same general format throughout Malaysia and Singapore.
No more 1st floor, with all the floor boards long since stolen.
This was a quick revisit back to the Relau Villa to check out the little opium den on a
slope of a hill to the rear of the property.
