Default India Mills Chimney - Darwen - May 09

If you have ever been to Darwen you cannot have missed the incredible India Mills chimney. Grade II listed and probably the finest chimney I have ever seen, it dominates the local town. She was built in 1867 as a result of a competition between local businesmen to see who could build the best mill.

Fred Dibnah once climed it and you can see the master at work HERE More information on the chimney HERE

It's now been restored and a pair of Peregine Falcons live on it. I did see them today but couldn't get a photo of the little blighters LOL

Not UE but an object I admire and love
