Arrow Yorkshire Water Filter Houses - Lower Bradfield - April 2009

Visited by many but not by me until now. I have always wanted to see the place but never got round to it. I have to say it's one of my fave explores ever. The place although totally stripped is really nice, the peeling paint, the odd layout of the rooms, the lovely glass brick skylights and the incredible diagrams on the wall all add up to something special. It also feels a friendly place for some reason.

    Some info on Wiki HERE

The only thing that spoils it is the idiotic tagging and graff but look past that and this one ace little place. So strange that in the middle of this posh village there is a derelict building which is being vandalised

Class act this one but I have one question? why is there sand everywhere? it's like a beach. Maybe some big holes in the floor have been filled in using sand?

    The outside, nice building.

Lovely corridors and rooms in this place.

Lovely details if you look closely

The corridors in here would put an asylum to shame LOL

Loved this windwow for some reason

It is a great place isn't it. very photogenic, I think the sand was from the filter beds and when the scrap metal went out the door the sand went all over the floor. (wow! That rhymes!!!)

It really is a great atmosphere in here. I too couldn't really put my finger on why such a relatively small place with not that many artefacts was such a great explore. The skylights are really great and really create a nice light that doen't really come out very well in pictures. Perhaps it was after exploring here with all the sand that 0742 thought sandals would be acceptable exploring footwear.
Apparently the owner wants it to get as run down as possible so the villagers will give him the ok to turn it into apartments, as he doesn't have permission at the moment.

Great skylights and diagram. I'll have to take a look at this place some time!
