Arrow Return to Steetley Magnesite - March 09

Well not so much a report as I did this place around March last year but as I was stuck in the area last Friday with naff all to do until 12 I headed for the post apocalyptic landscape of Steeley Magnesite in Hartlepool.

Lots more has been trashed since my last visit and there seems to be an active effort going on to fill in the pools. Hard to take bad photos here to be honest but there are death holes everywhere

If you have been at the bottom of a pond for the last twenty years you can read about the place HERE

Local lowlifes in one of the toxic pools, these boys have probably mutated by now.

And to finish off some work of the local poets.

    lovely shots.
We nearly set off up there a while back only to be rained off with crappy weather.
Must have a god at it sometime!

    Need to get up there
The only thing to do with good advice is pass it on. It is never any use to oneself.

It can be a bit "intresting" with the local scumbags hanging about.
However I've been a silly number of times now infact so much so that the place doesnt really intrest me anymore but I've never had any problems.
The best advice is go fairly early in the morning - about 8-9am is good as the chav scum are normaly still sleeping off last nights white lightning and drug binge and DONT go alone.

I agree though, not a great place for single women / group explorers to wander around in
