Visited back in October of last year, after walking round the outside of the hospital a few times, was rewarded with a board missing an attic window spotted by OT who i visited with i'd of probebrly missed it myself. The historic east wings of the hospital were mostly closed in 2001 although a late night clinic still operates on the ground floor, so we had to creep about above that. We managed to see a dozen wards three operating theaters the Intensive care unit, Childrens ward, Kidney Care Unit, Physoptheray and some freaky labs along with the remains of Dr Who set decorations also found a few scripts lieing around from some Welsh drama. Loved the CRI as i was treated there about ten years before it closed there have been rummors that every thing I saw has now been ripped out for the hospital to be refitted as a private hospital. however there has been no offical news of a new hospital on the site and private use would breach a web of covenents covering the land. Was very lucky to get to visit the hospital as the route in was sealed two days later.
