Arrow Tomnaverie ROC Post - 04/2013

This was an unexpected find. Mike and I were out for the day, not going anywhere in particular and we spotted a stone circle. So we went to visit Tomnaverie Stone Circle which has a recumbent stone.

Whilst we were standing there Mike told me to take another look around, so I did, twice, then noticed an ROC Post! It has a couple of padlocks on it so we couldn't go inside sadly.

Apologies, as we weren't expecting this I didn't have my camera with me, so these are iPhone photos.

I don't have a key yet, FJ, but I never noticed that!

Bunker, I've been told its mostly stripped.

Once I get a key I do plan on visiting an ROC Post not too far out of Aberdeen as its mint apparently.

its not bad nick inside, dry with a few odds and ends including a few ROC magazines, certainly one of the better ones in the area. get the feeling someone is looking after it externally at least as paint work is pretty fresh and the grass is always wel trimmed lol
