Default Abington ROC post 25 Group Ayr

Ok first report ... so here goes. Bit of a double first in fact as this is my first post in the Ayr group. A wee jaunt down south last week allowed for a quick stop off here, would have liked to have done a few more while in the area but time didn't allow.
    Anyway on with the report
Not a lot seems to have changed since last archived report on this post by King Elvis which in a way is nice as this remains a fine wee post free from flooding or vandals. Still a couple of interesting bits and pieces such as the kettle come pan :-)

Externally the step is becoming dislodged as is the apron and the forward ventilation shaft seems to be in a slightly worse state than the 2009 report. Hatch reamins in good working order with scottish t bar

Any suggestions for the concrete plnth with socket in the ground a few meters from the post?

Thanks for taking the time to read if you get this far :-) any feedback welcome

Nice and tidy! Thanks for posting. What were the approximate dimensions of the plinth and socket?

Not a bad post at all!! Nice, tidy, dry and most importantly it hasn't been wrecked
The only thing to do with good advice is pass it on. It is never any use to oneself.

its about the size of a paving slab (roughly 2 and a half to 3 foot) looks as if it was some kind of footing for something? but could be totally random and not connected to the post. Never seen anything like it before.
