Default Oxford: ROC HQ No. 3 Group - Original Photos 1992

I have just come across these original photo's of Oxford: ROC HQ No. 3 Group. They were taken just after the closure of the the HQ back in 1992.

The building was partially demolished just after these photos were taken and much of the interior was regretfully thrown into skips. See SB's report here: http://www.subbrit.org.uk/rsg/sites/o/oxford/

Main entrance. Compare this photo with SB's photo of the demolition.

    Operational well.

ROC Cluster map on the right with a UK/European Fallout chart on the left. I have copies of these!

The only things that apparently remain are the glass tote boards. I last heard they were propped up against a wall!

Certainly some rare photos of the exterior and interior.
    Thanks for looking

It's lovely to see these - the tote boards need saving - i would offer to store them if it wasnt so far away

That's good - they should be donated to a museum. I am trying to get a portacabin donated to us for Castleton - we have good access there and a large compound. A permanent display above ground would be good.

The 'tote boards' as you call them are not made from glass, they are half inch perspex. The 'tote boards' where the revolving post situation display boards on the upper gallery, these larger displays are region display 'A' and sector display 'B'.
