Spotted this place with Clough and Fowle last week after doing the mortar plant.
Came back with Clough to have a look. The drain itself is the outfall to Knostrop Water Treatment Works. To say it's meant to be clean water being put back into the River Aire, it didn't half stink!! Slippy bastard of a drain too!!
THE LOL DRAIN
Looking towards the Aire from the outfall
You eventually get to this junction.
Going straight on, it doesn't go too far before hitting a dead end, but has some nice features!
Bulbs
Going back to the junction and through the penstock gates, you twist and turn through another tunnel for a wee while
No further...
Time to trek back and get out
