Arrow Topcliffe ROC Post - (Yorkshire Group) - December 2011

    1968 Closure. Visited with TripleSix.

    Status: Open.

Very trashed, covered in graffiti - concrete around the post has severely cracked and is dropping apart. Nothing seems to have changed since other peoples reports. Not a particulary nice post.

    Entrance Hatch

The concrete step is at a severe angle to the hatch.

    Entrance Hatch - Top

The hatch is detatched and has been turned upside down. Not quite sure what has happened with the GZI Mount. Perhaps it had once stood higher on a concrete plinth? It is not there and a square hole remains.

The square hole is the way the contractors would have originally left the post when it was built, amazingly it was up to the observers to then attach the GZI. By the looks of things they did not do a very good job!
