    after further research the bullied wheels are from merchant navy class 35009 shaw saville line , so both that and the battle of britain class must be underway for restoration

    i love steam loco's! awesome pictures. i never used to but im begining to gain an interest in the early diesel loco's i just love the look of the diesel shunters.

    some of the early diesel prototypes were very nice looking machines such as "lion" the prototype class47 , but on the same token some late steam prototypes were dog ugly such as bullieds "leader " !!

    Nice one, I have the Mid Norfolk railway yard near by, full of some real gems of steam and diesel, but because of the metal thieves paying a visit, I can't get permission to stroll the yard. Bummer!

    Simon, the NNR yard is closer!
    I spent a year or 2 working down there!
