World War II former cinema and bingo hall, which opened on Monday, October 30, 1939.

Sadly this place is being demolished after a fight to get it listed. As with most great buildings in Bridgend they have decided to put a car park there instead. Its a sad day as this building had some great art deco features.
I tried to get into this building before the bulldozers moved in but being its situated on one of the busiest junctions it was nearly impossible. The day i took these pics the police had just left and a police helicopter was still flying around as a big crowd had gathered to see the end.
