Bobbed out last week with kelseyrebecca98 for an evening sun trip around the delights of south Sheffield.First up was Thornseat lodge .
Thornseat Lodge was originally built in 1855 as a shooting lodge for William Jessop steel maker. It became a children’s home in the 1930′s and remained such up until the early 1980′s Since then it has become derelict. It has loads of ghost and stuff and it now looks like a corner of helmand province..

Next up was Bradfield Water Treatment Works, again well trashed but some nice detail still left.
This building, known more correctly as The Filter House, was constructed in 1913 and extended with the one storey addition (and in my opinion not very sympathetically) in 1954. It was used to filter the water from Strines, Dale Dike and Agden Reservoirs. It has now been superseded and in March 2008 is in a derelict condition.

Finally an old house next to loxley brickworks, was last used as the works social club, sorry no entry, sealed tight.

Ta for now.
