Used to drive past this place everyday on my way to work, always thought it was a nice place. Didn't realise it was empty. Pretty sure a mate of mine got married here around '95.
Built in 1822, gutted by fire in 1911. Rebuilt in 1913 and closed in 2001.
Gorgeous building. Complete tragedy. I can't understand how it can close due to subsidence on the land, yet now have interest from developers!
