Hi all
I went out this afternoon looking for my 1st ever place to explore and i came across wesleyan methodist church , i have walked past this church many times so i thought what a great place to start my journey.
wesleyan church was built in 1910 on the site of the original chapel built 1887 , i dont know exactally when it closed but it was literally closed over night due to the big crack that had apperared in the front of the church , rumour has it that three mines converge on this area (Arboretum , moss close and the huge james adams mine ) these mines were abandoned and the supporting pillars removed so this could be a reason why this church is collapsing , like i said its only a rumour tho .
a fire swept through the place in 2008 so the stairs to the belltower are totally gone , shame as i would have loved a peek
