    Default Coal Research Establishment - Cheltenham - April 2011

    Spread over a large site, this was once the place where boffins worked with coal, burned it, played with it, may have wanked on it They were trying to make liquid coal for cars to run on.

    Seriously, the place is sorta semi-live and it's like a mini NGTE with pipes, wires, control panels and all manner of crazy machines running all over. Most of the fab sounding rooms are locked so tight you'd never get in but there's enough here to pass a few hours. There is a rumour of a liquid coal powered car hidden somwhere here but I didn't find it.

    This is really nice Mr. Elvis. Looks like a very worthwhile few hours mooching. Kind of reminds me of the level of decay reached at Hickson Welch.
