    I dont have any history on this place all i know its a drain just outside the city center.

    Loved this place, I really want to do a revisit. We had 7 people getting in the way of each other, and only 2 pairs of waders to get across the river!!

    cheers, its not actually slimey at all. What looks like slimey yellow stuff going down the steps and walls is caused by the lime mortar and mineral deposits and is hard.
