Arrow Crowthorn School - Edgeworth - Various visits 2010

    Here's some info

This was beginning of one of the most successful charity organizations founded by The Revd. Thomas Bowman Stephenson; a Methodist minister.
The Edgworth Home became the first National Childrens Home on the moorland site above the picturesque village of Edgworth Nr Bolton in Lancashire.
In July 2002 Crowthorn Special Needs Residential School (formally known as Edgworth Home) closed it's doors after 130 years of caring for children.

Every Year in May the former pupils reunite even though it has closed, a real bond between people

    Nice write up

The only thing to do with good advice is pass it on. It is never any use to oneself.

This is near my home. NCH, yes it does stand for National Children's Home, part of the now-called Action For Children charity.

Would love to have a good snoop once I get chance, before the redevelopment is finished. Better get my skates on!
