Casper Apartments, Leeds 11/10

Have known this place has being abandoned for quite sometime just didnt think to have a mooch round it for some reason. Visited with GeoVDUB and Fowleandclough. Its not that a cracking explore once youve had a walk round and taking some externals warl be watched by the noseyest office workers ever, who pretty much had there faces pressed against the windows to watch us, then have a wonder inside seeing how much needles and human poo you can find, thats pretty much it.

Was good fun enough thou, it was raining and shows and nearly every picture I took. Anyway a bit of history...

Caspar was a development of 42 apartments that was completed in 2000 worth about 2 million and won lots of awards for its eco friendly build and the fact that residents with no car got between 40 and 50 quid off.

The only problem was someone had dropped a clanger, the building was built the wrong way round (maybe the drawing were?) with the bottom floor on top and the top floor on the bottom meaning the bottom floor wasnt built for carrying the weight of the flats above and there was a chance of the whole place falling over in high winds, Doh!

So pretty much straight after the place was finished and people started moving in they had to clear the joint out and the building is now getting knocked down sometime very soon. Anyway on with the pictures...
