Shenstone ROC Post - (Staffordshire Group) - Feb 09
Opened 1960 and 1983 Closed 1968 and 1991
On private land beside a commercial farm. The post is sealed by a large concrete block but otherwise is in fantastic condition. The grass is nicely mowed and the paint is in excellent condition.
The post was orginally closed back in 1968 but was opened again in 1983 after Polesworth was closed due to flooding. I asked the farm people if I could FSM the post but they were not very keen on the idea, shame as according to one of them it was sealed back in 1992 :thumb
