Orford ness, possibly one of the bleakest places you will ever visit in your life, in world war 1 this place was used to test bombs on its famous bombing range, in world war 2 it also tested bombs and become the home of radar but its most famouly known for its role during the cold war. The Atomic Weapons Research Establishment (AWRE) tested nuclear weapons here such as Blue Danube ( I think we all know a certain someone on here who has some fame with this bomb:lol:).

Anyway history aside time for some pictures of this place on my new camera, most of the buildings in these pictures of from the AWRE occupation.

Visited with Tankman ( now known as Blue Danube :coffee)

This was a coast guard building built in the late 1800's, the top balcony was used by the observer corps in world war 2

We visited on a National trust tour thus why we were only allowed in certain buildings but you should go through them to see this place, to really see this place in all its might you should see it through your own eyes:thumb
