Well as we near completion of the resto of Middleton Stoney:thumb I thought a nice ROC plaque would look nice and also be the "Topping out" of the completion:smclap

Hand made by Plane Arts, who are based in the Philippines and cost £66.00, including postage.
It took about 6 weeks to make, but well worth the wait:thumb

I am making a Nuclear/Fallout prediction map for the post:thumb
The lines have been coloured in as per an original UKWMO, HQ map that I have. After I have completed the map I will get it laminated, so that I can then use some original templates on it for a display.
I'll put some pics up when its finished:smile

Glad you like the plaque. It was me who did all the design work for the model company and commissioned the first one to be made last year. I had to draw the plaque by hand in CAD and then send them all the data plus get the correct PANTONE colours from the ROC archive. It took me a while to convince them to offer it for sale on the website.

Here is the pictures they sent me of the prototype last year.

I originally commissioned one just to see how well it would turn out. Once they sent me the pictures of the prototype I ended up ordering 3 of them!

One went to the museum at the Maze, the other is on my wall at home and the third goes in the post during Open Days, I take it out at the end of the day as I think its far to good to leave down there.

It really did turn out MUCH better than I thought it would, for the little money they charged its amazing how much workmanship has gone into it, it really is a quality piece.
