Talgarth Asylum / Mid Wales Hospital, August 2010

[Revelation_Space]

Visited as part of my road trip, on the same day as Denbigh.

Unfortunately, it was 5pm by the time we made it here (tractors + roads in wales = slow progress), so I didn't see anywhere near all of it.

The place is quite demolished now, but a number of buildings remain untouched. We first tried the chapel, but unfortunately they've boarded up what looks like it used to be the access. Didn't look too hard though.

The admin building was pretty nice. Only closed down recently, as everyone knows, so there was lots of stuff still inside, and it was generally in very good condition. Even had what looked like a relatively new TV sitting there untouched.

Decided to go for a quick look up inside the clock tower. Unfortunately it looked like all the mechanisms were taken out long ago.
