I recently found myself in Stoke with a few folks and waiting for "No Drains James" to arrive, we felt rude not to go and visit one of the Potteries drains.

Down Below is a culverted brook with a CSO. It consists of Brick and concrete, of various periods however much of it seems to be modern or 20th century.

The lights were already on... but there was no evidence of ongoing work :confused either way it felt rude not to take advantage....

The culverted tunnel is a pretty standard concrete pipe job, however a nice opening saves you having to use torch light...
