Well I thought it'd make a change from spending many hours parked on the M6. So leaving Birkenhead after a days work at 3.30pm set off on a journey that would last many hours but passing through some of the most beautiful parts this country has to offer.
So first stop Denbigh. By all accounts a quick whistle stop tour. I was weary of meeting the legendary beard and his green van was parked in the drive. Our paths never crossed, given I was on my own this was probably a good thing. Denbigh has elluded me for so many years, every best made plan had been made. Yesterday I didn't make a plan and I took it in.

... and so within an hour I'd jumped back in the car and set the sat nav to Mid Wales 'the long way' - 120 miles, 3 hours. I didn't really stop to take many photos but the sights I took in were amazing.
My route for anyone who cares looked like this:

I rolled into Talgarth just before 9, having enjoyed 3 hours of driving bliss. Then I saw the continued piss poor state of Mid Wales :(

The rest is just smashed, every last locked/blocked part is now open including the business yard courtyard.
