View Full Version : Road Of Remebrance WW2 Underground Bunker. Folkestone. Kent 16.06.2010

Well I finally bought a new lens yesterday to replace the one I broke last month, and to mark the occasion, that evening, I dragged it around the WW2 Road of Remebrance Bunker in Folkestone.
It's thought that it was a communications centre that was part of the network feeding information from shipping in the channel back to the Enigma project in Bletchley Park. There's also a wartime diary entry stating that military misinformation was sent to the enemy from here during the build-up to D-Day.
The fact that there seems to be hardly any information on this place leads me to think that the above is true.

now thats what my pictures should have come out like(well to my abilities) if i had not been falling asleep and got me tripod out ..good work mate
