After probably picking the worst night for the past few weeks to do anything high because of the weather I spoke to JimmyHalfway, Talked it over and headed out...

After some ninja skills we had reached the base of the first of six ladders p*ssed wet through because of the rain but we didn’t fancy turning back.

Standing at about 90ft the Gasometer/Gasholder was built in the late 1800’s / Early 1900’s on the New Bradford Gasworks Site. This is the only information I could find and was from a few dated photographs that I had seen but at the time this area of Manchester had more than the two Gasometers that are now left.

The site is now owned by Transco.
