Visited by Gambino and MJS
A great mooch below Leeds. This was a return visit, as our previous visit was cut short by rising water levels! So there's a mixture of pics from day and night.
There are a number of open and underground sections starting from Buslingthorpe Lane...

Looking back...

After the square concrete section, you come across a curved corrugated section...

Then to be greeted by daylight (or street light depending when you go!)...

We found plenty of used syringes to decorate this tree...

A short covered section

Then a slightly longer covered section

which turns into this impressive brick arch

And into the open again

Had a short stop here for a quick bite, and admired the graffiti. Further upstream we walked past someone who's obviously just finished a big painting, he seemed a bit sheepish though, as if we'd busted him!

As I was setting up the lights, towards the back of the picture, my foot suddenly sank about a foot, nearly ended up face first in a load of skanky mud. There was a drop but I couldn't see it because of all the sediment!!

Looking back once you've entered the final underground stretch...

Spent quite a while taking shots of this circular stone pipe. Heard rumours that it's meant to be one of the footings for the viaduct near the police station

One last final corner before turning back

Random person: "How'd you get down there?"
MJS: "It was a long walk mate"
Quick pose as he took a photo on his phone

After 5 hours, it was time to turn back, crawl back onto the surface at the nearest place possible, and have to put up with the usual funny looks while trekking back to the vehicle!!
(report from our trip to Bunker in Warrington coming soon, visited by Gambino, MJS, Ojay and Thompski)
Thanks for looking
