Hooked up with NickUk, Jim Gillette and Gone in town and did some rooftops, which I have done, but I'll report, because I didn't last time. Then met up with a newbie, Babystrangeways.

I have had this on the to-do list for a few weeks now, as I have watched the scaffold go up to the top of the clock tower. Knowing that userscott had climbed this a few nights ago, I knew it had to be done, so we headed down to the Mancunian Way roundabout and hit this up. It was a really simple and easy climb once in the scaffolding, as it is covered all the way up. Getting to the covered part is a little trickier but by no means difficult, a really family friendly scaffold this one! Was a bit of a squeeze to get up and in, but it was quickly done, and so we laddered it up to the top past what is apparently the residence with the highest number of floors in the UK (9 floors and the apartment occupies the whole clock tower - I didn't know that!)

A bit of history - The church was completed in 1826, and was used as a church until 1983. It was bought and converted into apartments by Manchester architects Provin and Makin, after the graveyard surrounding the site was pulled up and all the remains exhumed.

As far as I know they have errected a scaffold around the clock tower to carry out clean up work and restoration on the brick, but I could be wrong. Anyways...

Last shot is of Gone, on the top of a scaffold rig above the top boarding. These are the only pics I got as this part of the scaffold was not boarded and so I couldn't really rest my tripod anywhere...

Cheers for looking
