Well, finally I have managed to do my second explore. Many thanks to S&R B n wee C (although wee C wasn't there obviously) for the invite and guided tour, it was good to meet you guys :thumb
Now, bearing in mind that my only other explore is RAF Croft I found the size of this place a bit overwhelming. I reckon I’d still be wandering round the maze of corridors and rooms if I didn’t have S&R B with me.
We managed to cram a lot of the site into the 5 hours we were there, I will definitely be going back as there will be loads that I missed.
So, them floors eh :ohmy I enjoyed that spongy feeling underfoot in places although to be honest they weren’t as bad as I thought they were going to be, even in the rooms where there had been significant collapses.
There were a few other people on-site, including some nifty BMX bad boys. R B managed to scare the living piss out of a young lady who was wandering around outside the main entrance, ‘Fielding was right, eh love?’ I didn’t shout.
We managed to avoid Elwin, we’re pretty sure he was driving around at one point but we were all safely tucked up inside meaning that steak I had for his cute little doggie went to waste.
You all know the history but if you don't you can find it here http://urbexforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7251 or on photophrenia's ace report here - http://urbexforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=8042
Onto the pictures, I’m sure you will have seen all these before!
