Built in 1892 (prior to this time magistrates sat in a room at the nearby Abbey Arms Hotel), originally comprising a courthouse, police station and cells. Disused since 1987, currently boarded up and derelict.

The site was the headquarters for the Eddisbury division which was absorbed into runcorn in 1939.

after our first site of the day proved a little tricky we headed here in the early morning fog

this place is in total darkness and some of the floors are really not the best on the upper floor to be treading on so lighting is essential

the highlight for me was the cells 3 in total although one was used for some sort of storage but theres a few little things left lying around which are of interest

anyway after our tricky but funny access and kev nearly breaking his back we was in

living quarters? the place was split into 2 parts and was accessed through 2 seperate staircases (you could sort of tell from the outside with it looking more like a house to the rest of the building
