Malmaison Manchester - Visited by Ojay & Nckt.

Met up with Nckt this evening probably to do some research for his forthcoming website :D

We decided to check this place out (or rather Nckt decided) as we were already halfway across the lobby already.

Quite a chilled rooftop this one and not done before. Apologies for the shite picture quality as this was a rushed one and Nckt had other pressing engagements. A return trip will no doubt be happening very soon.

Some History:

The chain owned by MWB Group Holdings was formed in 1994 and is named after the Château de Malmaison on the outskirts of Paris. The group also own the Hotel du Vin.

Hotels are located in Belfast, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Oxford, Reading and Aberdeen.

Like all Mals, the Manchester Malmaison is an unusual boutique hotel with a unique story to tell. Offering 167 rooms, including 13 luxury suites – some of which have quirky horizontal windows at knee and eye level.

In its time it’s been a doll’s hospital, a cotton spinners’ warehouse and the Imperial Hotel. The home of the Professional Football Association also used to sit on the same plot

AND MY FAVOURITE BIT

"But if you’re in Manchester and not a football fan, don’t let that stop you from enjoying this stylish hotel. It really is a joy to look at, with the original wrought iron frame of the lift a particular must-see".

LIFT SRFYAH.......HAHAHA
