Hey,

This visit was a spur of the moment thing and left us thirsty for more explores in the future! We were ill equipped having only small torches and a digital camera but nevertheless off we went!

The American Adventure was opened in 1987 and was famous for its thrill rides and live stunt shows. However a few years later, the owners wanted to change the look and feel of the park and aim it more at younger people so some rides were removed and they were set to rename the park American Adventure World and eventually drop the 'American' too.

They decided to revert back and bring back the name American Adventure but unfortunately the park had less visitors as a lot of features and rides had gone and the park could no longer compete with the likes of the huge Alton Towers park among others.

The American Adventure finally closed its gates in January 2007.

We didn't think there would be anything left at all and there wasn't much but there were still remnants of the park left to see. As this was a night visit, it made it alot more interesting.

Overall considering the type of camera used the equipment we had and never before having taken night pictures etc i think we did ok. We went back the next day for the daylight shots...we didn't stay there all night until morning!
