Thanks, pics were taken with a modified Oldham, much better than the bulb set up.

Nice to see you too. There are at least 5 in that area if you count the Dinas mines as Upper, Middle and Lower.
Not sure of any different names but there is the tunnel down to the lower workings (opposite main mine), and one on the far bank of the river a bit nearer the car park.
There are also at least two in the valley that runs up from the Angel Inn.

I think the reddish shadow in the foreground of some pics is my shadow, (lamp was set up behind).

Does this mean you've broadened your horizons from ME to UE? :)

Thanks for the pic comments. I've been a pretty broad based explorer since I was a kid in the 1950s, anything interesting really.

There's just something about mines and mining history that I can't tear myself away from! :)

The one i'm thinking off must be the one over the far bank of the river enterance is under a tree.

havnt heard of the other two up for the angel are they worth going back for?

This is the one across the footbridge from the main mine, it heads back down and emerges in a funnel shaped hole to the right of the waterfall bottom, or a shaft can be free climbed to an adit at the top of the hill above the waterfall.

There is a smallish older mine is about here (with one pretty formation).

The mines behind the Angel consist of one large short trial adit and one about halfway up the valley. It needs a lot more digging to lower the water level so not really worth a trip unless you fancy a nice walk.

Have you checked out the old gunpowder works?
