St Mary's Hospital, Pre Demo

[Rochester]

Visited with Tumbles, Sinnerman, ali, cuban, html and a few others who's names escape me, sorry fellas..:)

To many people St Mary's represented a lifetime of care and treatment, a great number of them would have no doubt resented their certified removal from society.

However to one who has never had to face such an ordeal the buildings do not hold such memories. Even though the red bricked villas have no real architectural merit justifying a campaign to save them from the crusher, I do think them quite splendid nestling in the countryside. in a timeless oblivion as to their imminent appointment with the grim reaper.

By timeless, it not difficult to imagine the lazy summer days of decades past where time stood still for their captive audience..
