This is the POW Camp my great grandfather served his time from 1940 - 45. The photos were taken a few years back on a dodgy kodak thing, so pleas excuse the quality. The camp was made around the turn of the century for the Polish but soon came to house english and soviet prisoners. The photos i have are of the soviet part as the Polish army were training in the English part. At the time of the Nazi invasion, the village of Lambinovich was changed to a more german sounding lamsdorf. Any way... on with the pics.

Overall i would have to say i found this place very very eerie. It was silent and i mean silent. I actually found it more moving than Auchwitz.
And once again, excuse the picture quality, there crap pictures - but i still thought id share them.
I think im going back this year.
Thanks
Jack
