Barrow Mental Hospital, Barrow Gurney, Bristol. 17/01/10

Hi all,

This is my first report and my first proper UE so i hope it's up to scratch.

OK my son, myself and 2 friends decide to have a look around the place before it's gone forever, been living in Bristol all my life and never had the pleasure while open or closed, We found a nice place to leave the car thanx to google :thumb then set off across a field then through the woods and came out right where i had planned :D.

During our exploration we found ALOT of holes strategically placed throughout most of the buildings usually just inside the dark doorways.
Something to deffinately watch out for when wandering around in the dark with a torch :panic.

Anyway as i was told all the southside of the site has been demo'd so all that remains now is part of the Boiler house and surrounding offices, Mother and baby unit, Woodside, Moliton, Security lodge and all of the center block/buildings, Still well worth the visit.
