So good to get out exploring after many months of finding it very difficult. Having started at 'stupid o clock' in Avonmouth to meet my fellow school buddy Scotty and his mate Scrub we proceed to check out a few sites in Avonmouth. First being the Rhodia Chemical Site (http://www.whateversleft.co.uk/index.php/rhodia-chemical-plant-avonmouth-bristol/) which to my suprise is now completely rubble. Then a quick drive down the road to check out Sevalco (http://www.whateversleft.co.uk/index.php/sevalco-plant-avonmouth/) which while still intact is subject to serious security on site. It was turning into a day of fail!

Anyway after the biggest breakfast roll I think I'd ever managed we tried, and suceeded, in taking in 'Hanham Hall Hospital' - the original administration block is a country house dating back as far as 1590. It's grade 2 listed and served as a mental instituion from 1916 through to its closure in 2000. Most of the site is converted or in the process of it. The rather beautiful admin block will be the last piece to be converted.
