This Victorian building was once a women’s refuge in Spitalfields. It is located on Crispin Street, a street perpendicular to the western end of Dorset Street

Mitre Square scene of Catherine (Kate) Eddowes, Murder 30 September 1888

She was the second victim of the night of Sunday 30 September 1888, a night which already had seen the murder of Elizabeth Stride less than an hour earlier. These two murders are commonly referred to as the "double event"

No tour would be complete without a shot of the Thames.

I love the alleyway down to Mitre square and the Thames shots. Very nice :thumb I can remember a few years ago a big fuss on the LDN news about the walks. Apparently a lot of the residents around Spitalfileds market were getting fed up of having their tea ruined by the description from the street below of Mary Jane Kelly's intestines and other organs being strewn around her room.:D

Never seen the market empty like that, ace shots and a good read.

The Thames one is ace indeed.
