Visited this evening with Mr Tumbles who was just passing through

But brief overview here
The Victoria Tunnel is an early Victorian Grade II listed wagon way built to transport coal to the River Tyne Spital Tongues to the north west of Newcastle upon Tyne.
In later years it also served as an air-raid shelter during World War II.
I've not been down here in a good year or more and its nice to see that its much as it was and the only thing thats changed is the amout of cave snot which has increased.
