Gartloch asylum in it's time, is surely one of the more impressive asylums. Probably best known for it's gothic style twin towers on the admin block, it has been vastly demolished or converted in to luxury flats. as with other developments, it appears to have slowed down slightly.

visited with castledown, who is off derelictplaces. We got in to most of what remains derelict, however unfortunately I didn't bring my tripod in to the ward blocks, hence the single crap photo. The recreation hall was too good to miss however, and was worth the trip back to the car to get the tripod!

a derelict ward block. the floors in places were on the way out by the feel of them!
